Liverpool or PSG await Club Brugge if they can repeat Champions League league stage success over Aston Villa | OneFootball

Club Brugge have been rewarded for their decisive two legged victory over Italian side Atalanta with a last 16 clash against Aston Villa. Should they win that, they will face the winner of one of the tie’s of the round; Liverpool v PSG. While Club will be wary of Unai Emery and his inrecible record in continental football, they will be confident that they can once again spring a surprise in the Champions League.

Earlier in the Group Stages, a bizarre mistake from Tyrone Mings gifted Club a deserved 1-0 victory in Brugge against Aston Villa. It was a reward for the Belgian side that they merited, and arguably throughout the competition they have performed well, despite not always getting the results their performances deserved. This certainly changed in the recent match up with Atalanta, where their performance was matched by the score line. More importantly perhaps, Club were just one of two sides that managed to beat Aston Villa during the league phase.

The games are set to take place on the 4/5th of March and the 11/12th of March. For Club fans, the side have already announced that they will cut ticket prices for the home game.
