Liverpool are looking to end their two-game winless run in the Premier League when they visit Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday's late kick-off.

The division's early pace-setters have stumbled slightly in their bid to be crowned champions following successive draws with Newcastle United and Fulham, but they still boast a two-point lead at the summit with a game in hand on their rivals heading into the weekend's fixtures. Victory in north London would be another major hurdle navigated by Arne Slot's impressive Reds.

The Merseysiders were in action midweek as they secured victory over Southampton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, setting up a meeting in the last four with Sunday's opponents. Liverpool will be looking to deliver a psychological blow to the Lilywhites prior to the two-legged tie at the start of the new year.

Here is how Liverpool could line up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

GK: Alisson - This will be Alisson's third game back since injury after he was rested in the Carabao Cup midweek. The Brazilian has looked sharp since making his comeback and is likely to be busy in the capital.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool's No.66 will be on high alert up against Son Heung-min, with the South Korean having scored in his last five league meetings with the Reds. Any shaky defensive moments will be punished.

CB: Joe Gomez - With Ibrahima Konate still missing from the Liverpool team, Gomez has been the man trusted to replace him. The defender has been linked with a move to Spurs in the past but remains firmly part of Slot's plans.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - The imperious Dutchman was offered a rare rest on Wednesday ahead of a duel with former teammate Dominic Solanke. The ex-Liverpool striker has never scored against the Reds and Van Dijk will be keen to ensure that record persists on Sunday.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas - Andy Robertson is available having served his one-game suspension midweek following his red card against Fulham, but the Scotsman has been in disappointing form. The returning Kostas Tsimikas could start at Spurs.

DM: Ryan Gravenberch - Gravenberch was handed a tough assignment by Slot last weekend after Liverpool were reduced to ten men but he did a sensational job in a variety of positions against Fulham. He continues to go from strength to strength this term.

DM: Alexis Mac Allister - Mac Allister wasn't at his sharpest against Southampton midweek having missed the Fulham clash through suspension. However, the South American rarely offers below 7/10 in a Liverpool shirt.

RW: Mohamed Salah - 12 goals against Spurs is an impressive record for the Egyptian, including one in the most recent meeting. Destiny Udogie will be given a tough ride by the in-form winger.

AM: Curtis Jones - Jones saw red in this fixture last season and will be keen to last longer than 26 minutes on this occasion. The midfielder has been in impressive form and will cause issues for Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr.

LW: Luis Diaz - Cody Gakpo featured for over an hour at St Mary's Stadium, suggesting that Diaz will almost certainly start in north London. The Colombian's excellent early season form has slowed down slightly over the past month.

ST: Diogo Jota - Jota was also sent off in this fixture last term as nine-man Liverpool lost in controversial circumstances. The Portuguese proved his value with an important equaliser off the bench during his injury comeback against Fulham.
