Manchester City came from behind against Plymouth Argyle to reach the FA Cup quarter-final, thanks in part to a brace from an unlikely source in Nico O’Reilly as Kevin De Bruyne proved his worth once again.

Argyle, who beat Premier League leaders Liverpool in the last round - after previously knocking out Brentford - took a surprise lead at the Etihad Stadium but were pegged back on the stroke of half-time and just couldn’t withstand the pressure in the second half as Man City advanced to the next stage.

O’Reilly got City’s goal just before the break and completed the turnaround in 76th minute before De Bruyne converted Erling Haaland’s pass to wrap up the victory as Pep Guardiola’s much-changed side survived a massive scare to seal a place in the quarter-final.
