Champions back to winning ways ahead of visit of the Hammers
Manchester City got back to winning ways in the Premier League ahead of Saturday’s clash with West Ham.
Pep Guardiola’s side may not have convinced during their 2-0 win over Leicester but will hope at least arresting the slump will have helped restore some confidence.
While it remains unclear if that can be a turning point, City will fancy their chances against a hapless Hammers side recently thrashed 5-0 by Liverpool.
Guardiola would appear unlikely to have any of his injured players returning, however.
Ederson, John Stones and Matheus Nunes are thought to be the closest to returning but they did not feature against the Foxes and no update was given after the game.
Oscar Bobb, Rodri and Ruben Dias are still some way off coming back into action.
Doubts: Stones, Ederson, Nunes
Injured: Dias, Bobb, Rodri
Time and date: 3pm GMT on Saturday 4 January 2025
