Manchester City have reached an agreement with RC Lens over the transfer of Uzbekistan international Abdukodir Khusanov (20), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Following his performances at the start of the current campaign, Khusanov has garnered significant interest. The centre-back has been courted by the likes of Real Madrid, Newcastle United and of course Manchester City, who look set to secure Khusanov’s signature.

After just a few months as a starter at Lens, the Ligue 1 side were keen to cash in on their prospect, handing a mandate to Jorge Mendes, who was tasked with finding a destination for the young defender.

That destination looks to be the Etihad Stadium. As per Foot Mercato, Manchester City have seen a  €50m offer, bonuses included, accepted by Les Sang et Or. Khusanov himself has been convinced of the move to the reigning Premier League champions and, bar a last-minute outbidding, the deal could be concluded in the coming hours.
