Manchester City vs Brighton – Predicted lineup and team news

Manchester City welcome Brighton to the Etihad this afternoon with both teams in contention for Champions League qualification.
Pep Guardiola’s side can climb into the top four with a win, with fourth-placed Chelsea not in action until Sunday, when the West Londoners face Arsenal.
City are aiming to bounce back from the setback of last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest. Callum Hudson-Odoi’s goal condemned the Citizens to defeat and saw them drop out of the Champions League places.
Brighton arrive in the North West as one of the Premier League’s form teams. The Seagulls have won six straight games in all competitions, a run that includes progress to the FA Cup quarter-finals and wins over European contenders in Chelsea, Bournemouth and Fulham.
A win for Fabian Hurzeler’s side will take them above Manchester City in the table.
The champions remain without defensive depth in the absence of Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake and John Stones.
The latter was omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad this week as he recovers from a thigh issue. Oscar Bobb is closing in on his return from a fractured leg sustained in pre-season. The Norwegian is being eased back into action with the club’s development squad.
Manchester City: Ederson; Lewis, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol; Gonzalez, Kovacic; Savinho, Marmoush, Doku; Haaland.
Manchester City host Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday 15th March 2025. Kick-off at the Etihad Stadium is 15:00 GMT.
Manchester City vs Brighton will not be available to watch live in the United Kingdom
