Manchester United have stormed into the race for Inter star Yann Bisseck and are reportedly lining up a massive bid for the center-back. According to Italian outlet InterLive, the Red Devils are pondering an eye-watering €60m offer for the highly-rated defender.
Ruben Amorim is eager to bolster several positions this summer. However, the extent of United’s transfer activity will hinge on player sales due to their PSR constraints. With Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans set to leave Old Trafford, Man Utd will look to do business with Inter.
Despite a lack of regular first-team opportunities, Bisseck has impressed when called into action this season. Indeed, Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has handed the 24-year-old 34 appearances across all competitions. Bisseck has repaid that trust by helping the Nerazzurri accumulate an eye-catching 18 clean sheets.
However, Bisseck’s two-year stay at Giuseppe Meazza is in jeopardy. Inter desperately need cash to finance a squad overhaul as Beppe Marotta bids to inject fresh blood into Inzaghi’s aging squad. Therefore, the German star could fall victim to the club’s financial needs, with a high-profile sale increasingly likely.
Despite their humiliating Premier League season, Man Utd can take Bisseck away from Inter with a ‘monstrous offer.’ While the Italians may reluctantly sell the ex-Aarhus ace, they’re close to renewing Stefan de Vrij’s contract, even though the Dutchman is 33.
In addition to Bisseck, Amorim’s charges remain keen on another Inter stalwart. Denzel Dumfries ranks high on United’s wishlist, but the Dutch wingback will hardly depart Meazza after pledging his long-term future to the club earlier this season.
