Milan could potentially achieve an historic first this evening if they manage to beat Inter in the Coppa Italia semi-final.

It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT), with the second leg on April 23.

This is the fourth edition of the Derby della Madonnina to be played this season, as the teams already went head-to-head twice in Serie A, along with the Supercoppa Italiana Final.

That provides the Rossoneri with the unique opportunity to make history, as they could manage to defeat their rivals Inter in three different tournaments during a single campaign.

This is something Milan have never managed before, but Inter did achieve that hat-trick in the 2022-23 campaign.

The Nerazzurri won once in Serie A, once in the Supercoppa Italiana and both Champions League encounters.

Milan opened their account this season with a 2-1 Serie A victory in September 2024, then came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and lift the Supercoppa Italiana in Riyadh on January 6.

That was only Sergio Conceicao’s second game in charge after replacing Paulo Fonseca.

Meanwhile, Inter avoided a third consecutive defeat by grabbing a stoppage-time equaliser during the return Serie A fixture on February 2.
