Müller, who will end his 25-year association with Bayern this summer, has featured 28 times and amassed five goal involvements in 2024/25 so far as FCB reclaimed the title won by Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen last season. The 35-year-old Müller is the most decorated footballer in Bundesliga history, ahead of teammate Manuel Neuer (12 titles) and former Bayern players David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski (both 10).

Having joined the Bayern ranks at the age of 10, Bavaria-born Müller lifted the first of his 13 Bundesliga titles in 2009/10. Jürgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund won the next two, before Bayern enjoyed an unprecedented 11-season reign as Bundesliga champions from 2012/13 to 2023/24. They finished third behind Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart last term, only to redress the balance with two games of the 2024/25 campaign remaining.

Müller's important role in Bayern's road back to domestic glory this term has taken his overall Bundesliga appearance tally to an eye-watering, club record-extending 501 games. He has registered 150 goals and 178 assists in that time, whilst also getting his hands on the UEFA Champions League twice, six DFB Cups, two UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cups and eight German Supercups - as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany.

Müller will contest his final Bundesliga fixture as a Bayern player when the newly minted champions go to Hoffenheim on Matchday 34. He is expected to feature at the new FIFA Club World Cup, which takes place in the USA from 14 June to 13 July, but his next career move remains to be seen.

Bayern have already confirmed Müller's extraordinary contribution to the club will be honoured with a testimonial match, among other events. As well as writing history as Bayern's most decorated player, he will depart as the Bavarian giants' record appearance-maker (currently 749 competitive games).
