Napoli continue to receive offers for Giacomo Raspadori, whose status hasn’t really changed despite a recent game-winning goal and the departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, the Azzurri keep refusing to really engage in the negotiations to sell him, Sky reports (via Fantacalcio).
West Ham and Olympique Marseille were the latest sides to inquire about the Italian attacker. However, their pursuits didn’t have legs. It remains to be seen whether the stance will change after the acquisition of another offensive weapon. The Partenopei are furthering the talks for both Alejandro Garnacho and Karim Adeyemi.
While Roma seem to have moved to other targets, Napoli might soon have to fend off an attempt by Atalanta for Raspadori. Ademola Lookman picked up a knee injury in training and will be sidelined for at least three weeks.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, La Dea was already gearing up for an offensive beforehand. Gian Piero Gasperini had demanded a forward, and the Nigerian star might be on his way out next summer after eventually agreeing to stay in the previous one.
If they aren’t open for business even for foreign sides, although there are no details about the offers, then they are highly unlikely to send him to another Serie A side. He’s stuck in an unfortunate situation. He’d deserve to play more, but he has rarely been a good fit tactically for any of the coaches they have had, and the competition has always been elite.
