With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s pending move to Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli have eyed Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi as a replacement. According to Patrick Berger, the Italian side have made a verbal approach for the German.
Napoli and PSG had come to an agreement valued at around €70m to sign Kvaratskhelia, as reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News, and the Serie A club will use a percentage of that fee to reinvest in a replacement.
According to Berger, Napoli’s verbal approach to Dortmund is around €40m, but Adeyemi has no intention of leaving Die Schwarzgelben this winter, while the Bundesliga side are unwilling to sell the attacker.
Adeyemi has missed a large portion of games this season, playing just eight of Borussia Dortmund’s 17 Bundesliga games, scoring two and creating three.
As well as Adeyemi, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Edon Zhegrova are both of interest to Napoli.
