Napoli would like to add a reliable defender on loan in January to join Alessandro Buongiorno and Amir Rrahmani, but it probably won’t be Danilo despite some contact between the parties. Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli just took him off the market.

According to Corriere dello Sport, there doesn’t seem to be the premises to do some business between the two sides. The Azzurri don’t want to give up Giacomo Raspadori either. It remains to be determined whether they are just normal skirmishes and whether they could revisit the situation later on.

Napoli have earmarked some high-profile names, but they are all quite challenging. They’d like to bring in a youngster who could be a building block for the future, in addition to addressing an immediate need. However, they might end up settling for a veteran.

Jakub Kiwior and Radu Dragusin are on their radar, like in the past, but it’ll be hard to convince Arsenal and Tottenham to let them go. A new entry in their shortlist is Sporting Praha’s Martin Vitik, who’s very coveted all over Europe and expensive.
