‘A performance for the players to be proud of.

That would have got us 3 points against just about any other team.

They gave their all and more, our best performance of the season so far.

Looking forward to a home cup game on Tuesday, especially after this today!! Good times ahead.’

Billy Miller:

‘Now that’s a performance.

We made the 4 times consecutive champions look perfectly ordinary.

Most players gave their best showing of the season.

It’s almost like we saved all our energy for this one.

A well deserved draw that could have been more.

Just need to bring that to every game and we’ll be challenging this season.’

‘A very welcome upturn in our standards.

Felt the 1-1 scoreline was thoroughly deserved and could very nearly have been more if we’d have managed to have a bit more composure at times.

There were some excellent performances across the board, but special mention has to go to Dan Burn, Lewis Hall and of course Sandro Tonali.

The Italian grew into the game and was dominating the middle of the pitch during the second half.

He ran out of steam at about 70 minutes and was quickly subbed by Howe but the signs are good!’

If someone had said we would have lost one out of that five, I’d never have picked Fulham to be the ones.

‘Probably the best we’ve played all season – and we had to against this lot.

It’s a very welcome point and one of those you’d take all day long.

We’ve gone toe to toe with the best and had 11 shots at goal with four on target.

We didn’t yield and got the reward from the penalty spot.

You have to be happy with that after last week.

A final point re the Man City fans asking where our famous atmosphere is? That’s a bit rich coming from them what with their no noise at home policy.’

Bazoox:

‘We showed a bit of enterprise in the early stages and I thought our midfield kept it’s shape for the first quarter of the game.

It soon became obvious though that our makeshift forward line were being outmuscled.

Man City started to get a grip on the half hour mark and niggly fouls and mistakes crept into our play.

Their goal was far too easy and questions should be asked of our defence.

The second half saw us quickly get ourselves back in the game.

The penalty was dispatched perfectly by Flash.

There were moments when I thought we could win it.

A great point and better performance and I thought we could have nicked it.’

Matt Busby said to Joe Harvey:

‘I’ll take that considering we trailed at the interval.

Lewis Hall was my MOTM and who knows if Sean’s shot had been a bit more composed.’
