Newcastle United are monitoring the progress of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, who is on loan at Juventus.
Newcastle are gearing up for a busy summer transfer window, and bolstering their attacking options is a priority.
Talisman Alexander Isak has been heavily linked with a summer exit, and the Swedish striker has no shortage of interested suitors lined up.
Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are heavily tipped to test Newcastle’s resolve with bids, while La Liga giants Barcelona see him as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
The Magpies have tried to ward off interest in Isak with an outrageous £150 million demand.
It remains to be seen if they’d maintain their stance if Eddie Howe’s side fail to qualify for the Champions League, but Isak’s understudy Callum Wilson seems more likely to make way this summer.
A number of players have been placed on the chopping block, with the Magpies looking to raise enough cash to fund a summer splurge, and Kolo Muani is one of those on the club’s radar.
Kolo Muani, who is on international duty with the French national team, is expected to switch clubs again this summer after failing to hack it in Ligue 1.
The ‘amazing‘ Frenchman was considered one of the best strikers on the market during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, which set up a high-profile move to PSG.
However, his homecoming didn’t go according to script, as he struggled to replicate his lethal form after moving to the French capital.
Kolo Muani managed just two league goals in 10 games for PSG earlier this season but got his loan spell at Juventus off to a flying start with five goals in eight league appearances.
