Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton has endured a second burglary at his Darras Hall home this year.

The incident occurred on Thursday night, prompting the 28-year-old to address the matter on social media, calling for respect for his family’s space and emphasising their desire for safety and peace.

Writing on Instagram, Joelinton revealed that nothing valuable is in the property after the earlier break-in in January.

He stressed that his family’s wellbeing, particularly his children, was his primary concern.

“What we care about most is our family’s safety and our kids growing up without fear,” he wrote. “We simply want to live in peace.”

The earlier burglary had taken place while Joelinton was watching Newcastle’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester City at St James’ Park.

It is unclear whether he or his family were present during the latest break-in.

Northumbria Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident, which was reported shortly after 7.35 pm.

Officers arrived at the scene but found the intruders had already fled, with inquiries ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the crime.

Newcastle player Alexander Isak was also targeted earlier this year in an alleged robbery where his car was stolen following a break-in.

Four individuals were charged and are now awaiting trial after denying the offences in court.

The growing trend of Newcastle players being targeted highlights concerns about the security of high-profile individuals in the area.

Joelinton’s experience underscores the vulnerabilities that often accompany fame and reinforces his focus on protecting his family.
