Former Premier League star Frank Leboeuf thinks that no team will come forward to pay a big fee for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and also cover his wages.
The 27-year-old forward has struggled to get on the scoresheet regularly this season, so far scoring seven goals in all competitions.
On Thursday, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim started him against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League, but he only lasted 56 minutes before being substituted.
It is suggested that Manchester United might be willing to sell Rashford for the right price, but Leboeuf has questioned whether the forward will have any takers in the market due to his form and high wages.
Leboeuf stated that he is aware of what Rashford is capable of but believes that the Reds star does not care about his game anymore.
The former Premier League star also thinks that Manchester United have five or six players like Rashford who no club are willing to buy.
“I am very concerned about Marcus Rashford”, Leboeuf said on ESPN FC.
“The French commentators say ‘I think Rashford is so bad that he will leave in the winter market’, but where? How?
“Nobody wants to buy a player like that.
“I mean, you have to spend so much money and you have to pay a big wage.
“Nobody wants to put any wage on Marcus Rashford.
“I highly rank him; I saw what he is capable of doing, but mentally, my God, the guy is not there, he doesn’t care, he doesn’t want to play.”
“So nobody wants to hire him and you have five or six players like that at Manchester United.”
Manchester United are set to face their city rivals Manchester City at the weekend and it remains to be seen whether Amorim will keep his faith in Rashford to give him a start in the game.
