Official: Highly-regarded Barcelona starlet signs new contract | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday confirmed some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that a member of the club’s youth ranks has committed to the terms of a new contract with the club.

The player in question? Jan Virgili.

Virgili, for his part, is an 18-year-old winger, capable of lining out on either flank, or even at full-back when required.

The Spanish talent has long been making a name for himself as a potential future star in the making at Barcelona, whilst lining out for the club’s U19s.

Virgili has racked up six direct goal contributions in eight appearances in the UEFA Youth League thus far this season.

All of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the young attacker this week being tied down for the years ahead.

As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona and player Jan Virgili have reached an agreement to extend his contract for two more seasons, which will keep him with the Club until June 30, 2027.’
