One West Ham star declared ‘untouchable’ but another big name could leave

West Ham United have reportedly started making some key decisions about certain members of their squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s been a hugely disappointing season at the London Stadium, with manager Graham Potter now likely to be given licence to make some changes to this Hammers side.
According to the Daily Express, West Ham have decided that there could be some sales of big names this summer, though Jarrod Bowen has been declared ‘untouchable’.
It could be, however, that other big names like Lucas Paqueta could be allowed to move on, which seems risky but probably the right call overall.
Paqueta was once a key player for West Ham and fans will likely have feared bigger clubs potentially coming in for him.
Now, however, the Brazil international really seems to have gone backwards, and cashing in on him might be the most sensible solution for all parties involved.
Paqueta no longer looks to be able to influence games at this level like he used to, and he could surely be a lot happier with a new challenge elsewhere.

West Ham, meanwhile, need to get rid of any deadwood and start again with something fresh for next season.
Paqueta’s sale could help raise funds for better signings, so the east London club will no doubt hope that his availability starts to attract some interest soon.
The Express add that another big name who could be allowed to move on is Mohammed Kudus.
The Ghana international was also once a star performer for West Ham, but he’s also gone badly downhill this term.
Bowen remains a reliable performer, however, so West Ham have likely made the right choice to insist that he’s not going anywhere.
