Ange Postecoglou says he has tried to “get creative” in his attempts to turn around Tottenham’s season.

Spurs are winless in their last five Premier League games and have dropped to 14th in the Premier League table following their 2-1 defeat to north London rivals Arsenal.

But with pressure on Postecoglou increasing, the Spurs boss insists he is trying everything he can to improve the team’s position.

“Whenever I’ve been in this situation and I’ve had a fair few of them, different types, there’s always pressure,” he said.

“There are things that you always try and change up. We’ve tried to do things a little bit differently, I certainly have with my messaging in the last few weeks in the way we’re kind of dealing with certain aspects.

“I think you’ll find that most managers and most people in these kind of positions are always trying to find a way to change the course of events and we’re all staying up late at night, trying to figure out is there something I can do?

“The one thing I know from the experience I have is that there’s no magical cure for it. Part of it is just turning up and fighting for what you believe in.

“That stays consistent but how you deliver that and how you prepare that can change at times, but you try and get as creative as you possibly can to see whether you can make an impact.

“That’s the situation we’ve kind of been in for the last month or so, how can we get this group through this tough time? How can we help them in getting there?”

Spurs have been decimated by injuries this season and Postecoglou has insisted that the club are doing all they can to try and add new signings this window.

He also vowed he will fight on and that he has never waivered in his commitment to getting his team out of their current situation.

“I’m a fighter and this is where I want to be,” he said. “I want to find a way to get us out of this so that we can reap the rewards of the tough battles we’ve had.

“And because of that context, it doesn’t affect me maybe in the way that people may assume.”
