According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain are considering a site in Poissy to build a new 60,000-seater stadium. The Ligue 1 champions are set to leave the Parc des Princes in the near future and, as a result, are looking for a site to build a stadium. A site in the same location as their training ground is the latest under consideration.
Les Parisiens unveiled their new training ground, the PSG campus, in the small town of Yvelines just over a year ago just 3.8km from the centre of Poissy. The land currently being considered is owned by Stelantis Group. Unions are fearing that the automobile group will be closing down the site, which could make it a viable location for the Ligue 1 club.
In addition to having their stadium located in the town just outside of Paris, a stadium would not be the only planned construction for the club. The French capital club would also look to build hotels, shops and hospitality establishments, creating ‘PSG Land’. A redevelopment of the potential site with 50 acres would see Les Parisiens create a multi-use venue capable of welcoming guests all year round even when there is no match.
