Lille OSC suffered a shock exit from the Coupe de France at the hands of USL Dunkerque on Tuesday night, whilst Paris Saint-Germain progressed thanks to a comfortable victory over National 1 side Le Mans.

Lille thought that they had netted a late winner through Andre Gomes, however, despite playing away, the Stade Pierre-Mauroy erupted as Kay Tejan headed home a late equaliser to take the tie to penalties. Having rushed into a quick 3-0 lead with Dunkerque missing their first two penalties, LOSC looked set to progress, despite the scare.

However, Alexsandro and Hákon Arnar Haraldsson missed their penalties as it went to sudden death. Benjamin André missed his spot-kick and it was Dunkerque goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen who stepped up to take the decisive spot-kick and send Dunkeruqe into the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France (1-1, 4-5 pens.).

PSG did not slip on their banana skin as they beat N1 side Le Mans. They didn’t have it all their own way, however, Désiré Doué pounced on an error in the first half to open the score and then, just seconds after coming on, Bradley Barcola ended the tie as a contest with his composed finish. Le Mans missed a flurry of late chances to get back into the tie and PSG advanced at their expense (0-2).

Stade Brestois won the other game on the night. They left it very late, relying on a 92nd-minute winner from Abdallah Sima to get past Ligue 2 strugglers ESTAC Troyes. (1-2).
