Real Madrid consider Arsenal star ‘the Jude Bellingham of defenders’ | OneFootball

The transfer team at La Liga giants Real Madrid consider a member of the defensive ranks at Arsenal as the ideal signing.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards William Saliba as the player in question.

It is common knowledge at this point that Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back.

Owing to the latest long-term injury suffered by Éder Militão, Los Blancos are aware that dipping into the market for fresh blood with a view to next season is something of a must.

And, amid their ongoing scouring of the market, one name stands out above all others – William Saliba.

Arsenal standout Saliba is of course widely considered one of the standout defenders in all of Europe, an absolutely crucial component of Mikel Arteta’s Gunners backline.

And, as per the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, speaking in his official YouTube channel this week:

‘There is no doubt that people internally at Real Madrid see William Saliba as a superstar, a fantastic defender. They really appreciate Saliba. It is also important to say that some at Real Madrid consider Saliba the Bellingham of defenders.’

Los Blancos, in turn, would love nothing more than to have the France international at their disposal for the 2025/26 campaign.

It is also noted, however, that Arsenal have absolutely no intention of allowing Saliba to depart the club any time soon.
