The Kings League is revolutionizing football in ways that many never fathomed possible.
The competition created by Gerard Pique in 2022 features a seven-a-side league that aims to combine football and entertainment and deliver a more complete product to the masses.
To call it a success in Spain would be an understatement and it is now spreading internationally with leagues in Italy, Brazil, and even France.
As revealed earlier today on the official Kings League page, Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni is set to co-own a team in the French iteration of the King’s League.
Interestingly, he will be the co-owner of the team alongside Barcelona superstar Jules Kounde with whom he shares a strong rivalry at the club level.
As compatriots, Tchouameni and Kounde share a good relationship as is evident from their decision of owning the team together. They will thus put their rivalry to the side and work together on this project.
Among the other team owners in the French project is popular French streamer AmineMaTue.
Ex-footballers Samir Nasri, Jeremy Menez and Adil Rami are also involved in the fray as they look to change the way football is seen and played in France.
Tchouameni has proven to be a vital part of Real Madrid’s plans this season and has served as Carlo Ancelotti’s emergency measure center-back in addition to being the team’s primary pivot option.
The 25-year-old has already made 22 appearances in La Liga and has created two big chances in that duration. He averages 1.5 interceptions, 1.5 tackles, 2.2 clearances, and a staggering 4.5 ball recoveries per game.
He is next to be seen in action when Los Blancos take to the field at the Metropolitano later this week in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
