In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed by MARCA that Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has already finalized a contract renewal with the club, securing his future until 2029.

His new deal includes a significant salary increase and a release clause set at €100 million, reflecting his rising importance within the squad.

A welcome boost for Real Madrid

Just six months ago, few would have predicted such a prestigious renewal for Asencio. He was not initially considered a long-term starter for Real Madrid, even though he participated in the pre-season tour under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, circumstances changed dramatically due to injuries suffered by key defenders like David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Dani Carvajal, as well as the departure of Nacho.
