Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has this week been lavished in fresh praise by a pair of Premier League legends.

This comes owing to the Brazilian’s efforts in Real Madrid’s most recent outing on the continent.

Los Blancos were of course back in action on Wednesday night, welcoming RB Salzburg to Spain’s capital for a Champions League clash.

When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged dominant victors, by five goals to one.

And wide-man Vinícius played a starring role, scooping Man of the Match honours owing to a superb 2nd-half brace.

During the post-match analysis session of the clash on CBS Sports, the 24-year-old, in turn, was heaped in praise by Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry.

Whilst discussing Vinícius’ performance, ex-Liverpool defender Carragher questioned:

“Is it fair to say since we have been on this show for the last two to three years, Vinícius Jr has been the best Champions League player?”

And Henry showed little hesitation in simply responding:

”Yes.”
