A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Tuesday been singled out for fresh criticism.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

France international Camavinga, for his part, was in from the off once again this evening, as Real Madrid welcomed city rivals Atlético to the Santiago Bernabéu.

As things stand in the Champions League Last-16 first-leg matchup, the two sides are locked at a goal apiece, after Rodrygo’s fine opener was cancelled out by an even better strike on the part of Julián Alvarez.

And, amid what has proven a somewhat frustrating outing to date for hosts Real, many have been quick to make clear their frustrations with the aforementioned Camavinga.

The 22-year-old has been far from his best for several weeks now, struggling to recover his form following a spell on the sidelines through injury.

After Camavinga was too easily beaten in the buildup to Alvarez’s equaliser, those of a Blancos persuasion, in turn, were quick to make clear their frustrations with the midfielder once more.
