Real Madrid star speaks out on Liverpool transfer links: ‘The next 10 or 15 years’ | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has opened up on the speculation, past and present, linking him with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool.

Bellingham is for his part currently in the midst of final preparations for a showdown with Liverpool.

In the headline fixture of the Champions League gameweek, Real Madrid are primed to make the trip to Anfield later this evening, for a meeting with Arne Slot’s high-flying Reds.

Midfielder Bellingham, for his part, is expected to play a leading role in the clash, by way of a starting berth for the Spanish champions.

The England international, in turn, sat down for an interview with TNT Sports early this week.

And, during as much, Bellingham was drawn on the rumours linking him with a transfer back to his home country, with Liverpool.

The 21-year-old was of course hotly tipped for an Anfield switch prior to joining Real Madrid last summer, with speculation continuing in the background regarding a potential move down the line.

Bellingham himself, however, has made clear that he only has eyes for the white of Los Blancos:

“Maybe they led people on a little bit in terms of that,” the youngster began, when asked how close he came to joining Liverpool in 2023. “It wasn’t as close as people in the media made out.

“When Madrid came knocking I felt like that was the perfect club for me.

“I’m very happy at Madrid. I think the next 10, 15 years will be in white for me.”
