Real Madrid pale in comparison to Barcelona when it comes to nurturing young talents in recent years.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that La Fabrica hasn’t produced any solid players in recent years. In fact, there are a host of young talents who are currently plying their trade at La Fabrica, hoping for an opportunity in the first-team.

One of them is Jesus Fortea, the player who caused quite a stir when he joined Real Madrid from Atletico Madrid’s youth academy.

Jesus Fortea wants more visibility

Now, the same Fortea has been performing brilliantly and is a regular for Real Madrid Juvenil A side, which is managed by former defender Arbeloa.

Fortea has raised eyebrows with his performances for the youth team. But he is yet to appear for the reserve team, let alone the senior side.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Fortea’s lack of chances in the RM Castilla squad is leading to tension between the player’s entourage and the club.

It appears Fortea is desperate to play for RM Castilla, knowing it would get him more visibility. For now, nothing is expected to change.

At just 17, there is a possibility Fortea may have to play out the entire season for Juvenil A, before getting an opportunity for the reserve team next season.

This might not be ideal for the former Atletico Madrid prodigy, who was hoping to take advantage of the first-team’s lack of options in the right-back position to earn himself a breakthrough.

Real Madrid, though, have not shown too much faith in their young players for now.

Although they have not appeared apprehensive in giving players chance, they are preferring players with more experience, as evidenced by Raul Asencio falling behind Aurelien Tchouameni in the pecking order.
