According to a report from Foot Mercato, Stade Rennais are planning on a future with Habib Beye as their manager. The former Red Star head coach is on a contract that lasts until the end of the season, but he has the option to automatically extend his stay by a further year.
Notwithstanding a dramatic turnaround in Rennes’ fortunes, Beye should be the Rennes manager going into the 2025/26 season. The club have been impressed by his short tenure, where he was able to lift the underperforming team out of the relegation playoff spot and into 12th heading into this weekend. The feeling is mutual, and Beye appears happy in his role for the Breton side and wants to continue into the new campaign.
Foot Mercato writes that Les Rouge et Noirs have asked Beye to think about the transfer window. He will likely be joined by some new faces at the club, with RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Loïc Désiré the favourite to replace Frederic Massara as sporting director and Laurent Bessière as the director of performance.
