A replacement goalkeeper is now being sought for one Chelsea goalkeeper in news that points towards one direction this summer.
The new comes after Chelsea beat Premier League winners Liverpool 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon in what was a fantastic overall performance by The Blues.
Cole Palmer was back in fine form for Chelsea and is one of the reasons that they put in such a good performance, with the stats proving this as well.
Palmer was also involved in Chelsea’s first goal of the game in the opening minutes, as well as some good work by Romeo Lavia and Pedro Neto to setup Enzo Fernandez to provide a lovely finish to get things going.
I believe it seems very open at the moment, and I for one would not rule out Chelsea signing another new stopper in the summer.
However, it does look like they are going to gives chances to what they have already and decide between Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, and Filip Jorgensen on who will be number one next season.
But then there is Mike Penders as well, although he is likely to go out on loan this summer once again.

The Athletic reports that Penders is likely to be sent back out on loan to another club next season, with BlueCo club Strasbourg the obvious move from a Chelsea standpoint.
HLN reports that his potential replacement could be 23-year-old Jonathan Fischer, with the club looking to make a move there.
This would suggest that Penders will not be going back on loan to Genk this summer, which is something that looked like it might have happened at one point.
