Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono ahead of the summer transfer window. Nonetheless, they’re not the only ones. The highly rated teenager is attracting interest from several top European clubs.
According to TyC Sports journalist Germán García Grova, PSG have already opened talks and view Mastantuono as a key target. The French side is now among a growing group of teams tracking the promising Argentine.
Transfer insider César Luis Merlo previously reported that Manchester United have shown the strongest interest so far, even scouting Mastantuono in person. The Premier League club is also well aware of his €45 million release clause, which could significantly affect how any move unfolds.

River Plate knows it’s only a matter of time before they lose Mastantuono. The young talent is already drawing interest from Real Madrid and several other top clubs. Still, club president Jorge Brito made it clear there’s no urgency to make a deal just yet.
“No one is in a hurry, neither we nor the player,” Brito told ESPN (h/t Mundo Deportivo). “He’s only 17 years old and we shouldn’t put any more pressure on him.”
PSG have recently joined the race for Franco Mastantuono, joining the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, and other top European clubs, according to Diario Olé.
The report adds that six Premier League sides—including new champions Liverpool, along with Arsenal and Chelsea—are also showing interest. Mastantuono is under contract with River Plate until December 2027, with a €45 million release clause, and he’s said to have no clear preference on where he goes next.
