Roma legend Sebino Nela takes issue with Pisilli’s wages: “It’s simply not right.” | OneFootball

Legendary Roma defender Sebino Nela made some comments with regards to Niccolo Pisilli’s new contract.

The youngster recently received a significant adjustment, with his salary set to progressively increase to around 2 million euros per season. A figure that has raised doubts in Sebino Nela in an interview with Il Tribunale delle Romane.

“Pisilli is definitely a guy to keep, but the new contract is simply not right,” said Nela.

“He earned 70 thousand euros, I understand that the clubs are under pressure from the agents, but you have to be careful, otherwise you will never get out of it. It seems to me a very high contract for a guy who still has to prove everything.”

“We saw it at ‘ready go’, but also I, in ’78, when I made my debut, was the best on the field for two games. Then the games continue and it is not always like this.”

“He still has to prove everything. He is finding space in the first team, we have understood what kind of player he is, but it seems to me a contract out of this world.”
