Roma are working on a deal to keep Alexis Saelemaekers on a permanent basis after his loan move from Milan, though Tammy Abraham is a separate issue.
The pair exchanged places in dry loans on transfer deadline day, meaning there is no option to buy at the end of the season.
Their original intention had been to include options, but time was so short that the clubs decided to simply shake hands on this basic exchange of loans instead.

Now six months on, Saelemaekers has made a strong impact at Roma with three goals and three assists in 12 competitive appearances.
This is despite him missing much of the campaign with an ankle fracture.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Giallorossi want to keep the Belgium international and the feeling is mutual.
Milan would expect to receive at least €15m to make a permanent sale, but the situation could be sorted out earlier rather than later.
If they can complete the sale now, then that frees up funds for the Rossoneri to invest in a new striker in the January transfer window.
