Newcastle United are about to host Bromley at home in the 3rd round of the FA Cup this weekend. The former side will head into the game after a massive victory behind their back. They recently defeated Arsenal by 2-0 in the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinals.

Interestingly, the Magpies have four notable victories in their last four games. It’s evident that they are carrying high confidence and good form. Hence, they will be the absolute favourites to progress to the next round.

Defence

Nick Pope is still yet to recover completely and hence, Martin Dubravka will be operating between the sticks once again. Kieran Trippier should be seen playing as the right-back in place of Tino Livramento.

While Dan Burn starts at the heart of the defence, Sven Botman warms the bench this time. Lloyd Kelly could fill his position. Even Lewis Hall gets the much-deserving rest, making way for Matt Targett at the left-back spot.

Midfield

Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley are expected to be deployed in the middle of the park at the cost of Sandro Tonali and Joelinton. On the other hand, Joe Willock retains his spot to complete the midfield trio.

Attack

Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon on the flanks with Alexander Isak playing as the striker in the lineup once again.

The attacking trio is working well for Eddie Howe and he might hesitate altering anyone for now. However, he will surely try to manage their minutes to keep them fresh enough for Spurs clash.

Jamaal Lascelles remains a long-term absentee while Callum Wilson is expected to return but this game will be too soon for him too.
