Check out all the facts and figures from the UEFA Champions League play-off first leg between Brest and Paris Saint-Germain.
It was a resounding victory for the Parisians against Brest, just a few weeks after they had beaten the same Brest side 5-2 at Francis Le Blé in the league. This time, it was in Guingamp that Paris Saint-Germain came out on top, before returning soon to Breton soil to face Saint-Brieuc in the Coupe de France.
In fact, PSG have not lost any of their last 31 matches against Brest in all competitions (23 wins, 8 draws), establishing the best unbeaten run in their history against the same opponent. It was also the 30th win in all competitions against Brest for the Parisians, in 46 games played (13 draws and only 4 defeats).
The Paris Saint-Germain captain played his 100th Champions League match for the capital club against Brest. A staggering number. It was also in the Champions League that Marquinhos became the most capped player in PSG's history, playing his 436th match in the quarter-final first leg against Barcelona on 10th April.
To highlight Marqui's achievement, only 7 other players in Europe have reached the same milestone since the Brazilian defender played his first Champions League match for Paris. And for the record, it was Barcelona who took the honours as the team Marquinhos has faced the most on the European stage (9 matches).
He is, of course, the first player to achieve this total with a French club!
Ousmane just can't stop. Once again, the Parisian No10 is at the top of his game. With a brace on Tuesday evening, he has scored 15 goals in all competitions in 2025, five more than any other player in the top five leagues. The 2018 world champion has already equalled his club record for goals in a calendar year in all competitions (15, as in 2016).
Dembélé has also scored in each of his last 8 matches in all competitions, equalling the best run in history for a PSG player (Neymar Jr twice, Carlos Bianchi and Kylian Mbappé). A record that could be broken at Toulouse on Saturday!
The icing on the cake is that it is also the equal best ongoing run in the 5 major European leagues this season (8 for Alexander Isak with Newcastle between December and January).
