Eddie Howe has named the same team as he did 17 days ago at Wembley for the visit of the Bees, although there is one change on the bench.
Teenager Leo Shahar is among the substitutes instead of Matt Targett. The England under-18 international, born in Wolverhampton, has yet to make his senior debut for the Magpies but has been a regular at under-21 level this term.
Sean Neave, 17, is again part of the squad, having scored four times in his last four Premier League 2 outings.
Nick Pope is in goal, with newly-crowned Sela Player of the Month Dan Burn joining Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär and Tino Livramento in defence. Burn made his England debut last month, having opened the scoring in the cup final.
Bruno Guimarães captains the team and accompanies Joelinton and Sandro Tonali - who scored twice against Brentford when the two teams met in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals - in midfield.
Alexander Isak leads the line, supported by Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes, who has netted in his last two league outings against Brentford.
