Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram.

According to TEAMtalk, they are long-term admirers of the French International attacker, but they will face competition from clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal.

The report claims that Tottenham are yet to make a move for the French international, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official offer to sign the player.

The French International has 16 goals and four assists to his name this season and he has firmly established himself as one of the best attackers in European football. He is capable of operating as a centre forward as well as a wide player. He could be the ideal addition for Tottenham.

Timo Werner will leave the club upon the expiry of his long deal, and Richarlison has been linked for the exit as well. Tottenham will have to replace them adequately and signing the French International could prove to be a wise decision.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal are both looking to improve their attacking unit and they are interested in a summer deal for Thuram. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs can get the deal done. Arsenal need an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus and Liverpool need a reliable goal scorer to replace Darwin Nunez.

The report states that Thuram wants to join a club with Champions League football and that could be a major blow for Tottenham. They are unlikely to finish in the top four after a mediocre season so far. In addition to that, Inter Milan are hoping to tie him down to a new deal and remove the £71 million release clause in his contract. If that happens, he is likely to cost of substantial amount of money and the three English clubs could be priced out of a move for him.
