Spurs missing host of first-team players but Ange Postecoglou gets one major boost
Cristian Romero is fit to start for Tottenham against Ipswich.
Romero suffered a foot injury in last weekend’s 4-1 win against Ipswich and missed Thursday’s 3-2 Europa League defeat away at Galatasaray.
But the Argentinean starts alongside Radu Dragusin at centre-half, with Micky van de Ven still sidelined with his hamstring injury.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie also come into the back five.
Richarlison, Wilson Odobert (all hamstring) and Mikey Moore (virus) are missing but Timo Werner is fit enough to make the bench.
Ange Postecoglou is short of options in his front line with Heung-min Son and Brennan Johnson, who were both hooked at half-time in Istanbul, his only fit wide players, while Dominic Solanke returns to the XI after being rested from the start on Thursday.
But Postecoglou has the luxury of being able to rotate his entire midfield, with Yves Bissouma, James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall making way for Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Sarr and Dejan Kulusevski.
Confirmed Spurs XI: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie, Sarr, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Johnson, Solanke, Son
Injured: Moore, Werner, Odobert, Richarlison, Van de Ven
