All the latest on Deadline Day as Premier League clubs push to complete business

It is deadline day in the January transfer window and a number of the Premier League’s biggest clubs are expected to be active. Manchester United are among the busier clubs around at the moment, with Marcus Rashford completing his loan to Aston Villa to finally end his first-team exile under Ruben Amorim. A new striker remains a priority for United, and it is reported that Liam Delap has emerged as a top target.

Tottenham are another club expected to be busy. Spurs have already signed Kevin Danso on loan from Lens but reportedly remain on the lookout for a new attacking player to join Ange Postecoglou’s squad. The Blues forward was linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier in the window, having grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities at Chelsea.

ESPN report that United have Nkunku as a back-up option today, should they be unable to agree a deal for Tel.

Tel yet to make final decision

More talks are planned over Mathys Tel’s future this morning.

According to Sky Germany, Arsenal remain in discussions with Bayern Munich but a deal for the 19-year-old is not imminent.

Bayern want to sell Tel or loan him with an obligation to buy, though they are also open to keeping the Frenchman and will not panic into selling for the wrong price.

Jorginho will join Brazilian club Flamengo on a free transfer this summer.

The midfielder is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and is therefore able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.

ESPN report that deal has now been done, after Arsenal made it clear they would not let Jorginho leave in the current window.

West Ham are set to recall James Ward-Prowse from his loan at Nottingham Forest.

The Athletic report that a mutual agreement has been reached between the two clubs to cut short the loan.

The 30-year-old has made only five Premier League starts this season and will hope to have a greater impact under Graham Potter.

The Ipswich striker has impressed this season and according to The Mirror, United have decided he is their top target to help solve the club’s attacking woes.

However, the move could be hampered by Manchester City having a £29.5m buy-back clause, which they could activate just to then sell on for profit.

Tottenham make Garnacho approach

Tottenham have enquired about a possible move for Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea were keen on the Manchester United winger earlier in the window, with it believed that he is available for £60m.

The Daily Mail report that Spurs have now turned to Garnacho after they were turned down by Tel, but it remains to be seen whether he is open to moving to the north London club.
