Juventus coach Igor Tudor admitted he wasn’t happy with Juventus substitutes after a 2-1 win against Lecce: ‘We have to grow quickly. Excuses are for everyone.’
Juventus coach Tudor admitted being unhappy with players who had been introduced from the bench in a 2-1 win over strugglers Lecce on Saturday.
“I didn’t like the substitutions,” Tudor said at a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia.
“There are five substitutions now. Football is not what it used to be. Half of the team can be changed, and everything changes. The players need to think. This is what I am trying to teach them. They must change the way they think because things have changed. They can make a difference. As I said, I didn’t like them. We have to grow quickly. Excuses are for everyone. I was a player, too, but the team comes above all the rest in the end.”

Tudor already said he expected more from Juventus substitutes during a post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia.
On the eve of the game, the Croatian tactician had insisted that players coming off the bench should make the difference.
Tudor is unbeaten in his opening three games as the Juventus coach, having collected two wins and one away draw at Roma.
The Bianconeri have now climbed to third place in the rankings, overtaking Atalanta and Bologna, who meet at the Gewiss Stadium in Sunday’s lunchtime game.
Another key match in the race for the top four is tonight’s Derby della Capitale between Lazio and Roma.
