Danish defender Victor Nelsson presented himself as Roma’s new signing.
In his first interview with the club, Nelsson – who joined Roma on loan from Galatasaray – spoke fondly of his decision to come to the Italian capital.
“It’s been a bit stressful the last three or four days, but now I’m here and I can’t wait for it to start,” he said.
“Angelino? I played with him in Turkey, he is a friend. It is always nice to see a familiar face when you arrive at a new club. I will see him soon with the rest of his teammates.”
“My objective? I think it’s clear for a club as big as Roma: win as many games as possible and compete for some trophies this season. That should be the goal in a club as big as Roma.”
“It’s a great step in my career. I want to develop, I want to play. I had the opportunity and I’m here.”
“Ranieri? I know him, he is a legend in the world of football. I can’t wait to work with him and the rest of the team in training.”
“I like to defend with strength, in a rough way in duels. I like to win. Those are my main qualities.”
“I have only heard good things about the city. I had a friend who played here last season, Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, he told me only good things about the city. I have never come here to travel, I am looking forward to exploring the city more and more calmly.”
“First of all I want to thank the Friedkin family for the opportunity. Then I want to thank my family, my girlfriend, the coach and all the players. Forza Roma!”
