La Liga champions Real Madrid sent a team of scouts to watch over Thursday’s meeting between Spain and The Netherlands.
That’s according to Marca, who have confirmed that as much came with a view to keeping an eye on two players in particular.
The pair in question? Dean Huijsen, and Jorrel Hato.
Defensive starlets Huijsen and Hato have long made their respective ways onto the transfer wishlist at the aforementioned Real Madrid.
Amid an ongoing search for long-term reinforcements at the back, both have been earmarked as potential additions.
With their respective countries having locked horns in the Nations League on Thursday night, the board at the Santiago Bernabéu therefore sent scouts to take in the action in Rotterdam.
And the Real Madrid representatives in attendance were afforded a prolonged chance to watch both players showcase their talents.
En route to a 2-2 draw, Ajax starlet Hato featured from the off, with Bournemouth prodigy Huijsen having been introduced to proceedings late in the first-half.
The former was ultimately given his marching orders late on, with Marca concluding that it was Huijsen who left the better impression on the scouts at De Kuip.
