The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards Wojciech Szczęsny being set to maintain his place between the posts.

Szczęsny, for his part, is fresh off just his 2nd appearance of the campaign earlier this week.

After keeping a clean sheet en route to Barcelona booking their spot in the Last-16 of the Copa del Rey at the expense of Barbastro, the Pole was again in from the off on Wednesday, in the semi-final of the Supercopa.

And Szczęsny, again, impressed, holding Athletic Club at bay courtesy of a number of fine saves.

And as much, it would appear, proved enough to convince the coaching staff at Barca of the former Arsenal and Juventus man’s readiness to continue in goal on Sunday evening.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, though no final decision has been made as of yet, Szczęsny is leading Iñaki Peña in the race to start against Real Madrid:
