WOMEN, AC MILAN v NAPOLI: MATCH PREVIEW

AC Milan will take on Napoli on matchday 14 of the Serie A Femminile 2024/25 campaign. The match will be played on 12 January at 12:30 CET at the PUMA House of Football. Coach Bakker's side will look for a win after a turbulent period. On the other hand, Coach Mango's Napoli side will be on the hunt for precious points to climb up the league standings. LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL The Rossonere come into the game after a period of highs - for example in the Derby at San Siro - and lows, such as the loss against Lazio in the final game of 2024. However, Coach Bakker's side are determined to find their way back to winning ways and improve their league position. The game against Napoli, therefore, represents an opportunity to show the value of the group and regain momentum in the league, aiming for a difficult comeback into fifth place, the last position valid for the Poule Scudetto.

LATEST FROM NAPOLI Difficult period for Napoli, who currently sit second from bottom with six points. After their two defeats at the end of 2024 (narrow losses, both 2-1, against Sassuolo and Roma), there has been movement in the transfer window for Napoli with the arrival of the Swedish duo, Kullashi (from Inter) and Andrup - ex-Brommapojkarna player - as well as the departures of Martinovic, who has left for Lazio and then loan moves for Giai and Fracaros. Coach Mango's side are looking for a boost to climb up the league table and improve their current performances. The clash against AC Milan gives them a chance to demonstrate their potential and to obtain precious points away.

AC Milan are unbeaten in their nine previous matches against Napoli in Serie A (six wins, three draws) and the Campania side could become the first side against which the Rossonere have remained unbeaten in ten matches (at the moment the Rossonere are also undefeated in nine against Sampdoria)
After the 3-2 win on 14 April, AC Milan could win two consecutive home games against Napoli for the first time in Serie A; in general, the Rossonere have recorded two wins and two draws against Napoli at home. Only against Sampdoria (five) have the Rossonere played more matches at home without losing - four against Pomigliano.
AC Milan have not drawn a game in their first Serie A match played in January: four wins and two defeats for the Rossonere. In the matches considered, the Rossonere have always scored at least one goal (19 in total), conceding just four.
