The world of WWE and Celtic have unexpectedly mixed together a few times in recent years. Of course, many fans will remember that CM Punk wore the Hoops' gear after interfering in a match involving Drew McIntyre, a well-known Rangers supporter, not too long ago. And now, it has happened again.
Celtic are preparing to take on the Rangers at Parkhead this weekend. The Hoops lost the last Glasgow Derby, which was played at Ibrox earlier this year, by a 3-0 scoreline.
Surely, Brendan Rodgers' side will be keen to avenge that defeat. And days before that game, the WWE have released a statement involving both Glasgow clubs and several others around Europe.
WWE have unveiled exclusive Legacy Title Belts featuring the official branding and colours of 13 major European football clubs. This includes Celtic, Rangers, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, BVB Dortmund, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Of course, this is not the first time that WWE have collaborated with sports teams in order to come up with Championship belts. In the past, they have released NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and Collegiate Legacy Title Belts.
That is a very cool thing to be involved with for sure. Celtic fans, who also watch WWE, will be excited by this release.
That being said, the focus will be completely on the upcoming game this weekend. It is safe to say the the Rangers are entering this match on a high note, having managed to book their place in the last 8 of the Europa League by getting past Fenerbahce on penalty kicks at Ibrox. On the other hand, Celtic will be looking to make a statement and show why they are on their way to winning the Premiership for a fourth straight time.
