Tottenham’s Conference League woes continued on Thursday as they lost 2-1 to Slovenian side Mura in the 94th minute.
Scorers: Horvat 10′, Marosa 90+4; Kane 72′
It was the hosts who flew out of the blocks and took a surprise lead in the 10th minute as Tomi Horvat finished brilliantly.
Things got even worse for the Premier League outfit on the half hour mark as Ryan Sessegnon was sent off for a wild lunge.
Into the second half and Antonio Conte decided to bring on the big guns as Heung-min Son entered the pitch to try and inject some life into this Spurs side.
But it was Kane who got the equaliser as he latched on to a Lucas Moura ball and dinked one home.
Conte’s men pushed for a winner but that left them open at the back.
And that was an Achilles heel that Mura took full advantage of, with Amadej Marosa breaking on the counter and scoring with the very last kick of the game.
It means that Spurs will now have to get a result in their final group against Rennes to guarantee going through to the next round.
