The 2023-24 FA Cup campaign was one of the best in recent memory with fairytale runs, classic cup contests and an upset in the final at Wembley.

As the dust settles on the FA Cup season, we’ve decided to celebrate 10 of the best goals scored in this season’s competition.

Noni Madueke – CHELSEA vs Leicester

Noni Madueke’s career at Chelsea is yet to really catch fire but the winger sent a message with a stunning goal in the club’s quarter-final win over Leicester at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues survived a scare to beat the Championship high-flyers with late goals from substitutes Carney Chukwuemeka and Madueke sending Chelsea through. The latter’s was a thing of beauty, as he slalomed past two Foxes challenges before bending an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

Haji Wright – Wolves vs COVENTRY

Coventry were one of the stories of the season with a run to the semi-finals and the Sky Blues certainly bloodied the noses of top-tier teams in the FA Cup.

An all-Midlands match up saw Mark Robins’ side stun Wolves at Molineux, following a dramatic conclusion. Coventry had led through Ellis Simms until the 83rd minute, but two quick-fire goals from Wolves looked to have turned the game around.

Simms scored a second in the 97th minute to equalise before the final twist in the tale, as Haji Wright fired home this effort moments later to seal a stunning success.

Jordan Clark – LUTON vs Manchester City

Luton didn’t have much to celebrate after being trounced by the holders in round five, a clash that saw Erling Haaland help himself to five goals at Kenilworth Road.

None of the Norwegian’s efforts could better Jordan Clark’s consolation, however, as the midfielder curled home from 25 yards.

Enzo Fernandez – Aston Villa vs CHELSEA

Enzo Fernandez has not quite convinced that he is worth the British record fee Chelsea shelled out on his services to date, but more strikes of this calibre will certainly silence the doubters.

A postage-stamp free-kick from the midfielder saw Chelsea beat Aston Villa impressively, leaving Argentina teammate Emi Martinez with no chance.

Bryn Morris – NEWPORT COUNTY vs Manchester United

Newport gave Manchester United a fright in the fourth round as the fourth-tier side came from two goals down to level against the eventual winners, before falling to a 4-2 defeat.

Bryn Morris kickstarted the comeback with a cracker, as his sweet strike glanced off Lisandro Martinez to beat debutant Altay Bayindir in goal.

Broja Sainz – Liverpool vs NORWICH

A summer signing from Giresunspor in the Turkish Süper Lig, Broja Sainz showed moments of real quality during a debut season at Norwich that delivered eight goals.

Arguably the pick of the bunch was this effort against Liverpool at Anfield, as the Spaniard strode on to collect a headed clearance from Virgil van Dijk and unleashed a thumping strike.

Pedro Neto – West Brom vs WOLVES

The first Black Country derby with fans in attendance for 12 years saw the game halted due to crowd trouble, with Pedro Neto’s individual brilliance overshadowed by the unsavoury scenes off the pitch.

Neto opened the scoring for Wolves with a solo effort at The Hawthorns, charing forward on the counter before stepping inside two challenges and firing home.

Yunus Akgun – LEICESTER vs Birmingham

Yunus Akgun struggled for regular minutes during Leicester’s promotion push but made the most of a rare chance against Birmingham in cup competition.

The Foxes cruised past their divisional rivals with the on-loan Akgun scoring his first Leicester goal with a hit that flashed past John Ruddy.

Lamar Reynolds – Ipswich vs MAIDSTONE

Maidstone were arguably the story of the FA Cup season as the sixth-tier side embarked on an unforgettable run to round five.

The National League South outfit pulled of a sensational upset of Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town at Portman Road, with Lamar Reynolds opening the scoring on the counter-attack. A nerveless finish from Reynolds, lifted over the goalkeeper, set Maidstone on route to a win over a team 98 places above them in the football pyramid.

Phil Foden – MANCHESTER CITY vs Huddersfield

It’s been a special season for Phil Foden, coronated as the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season.

Foden set a new club record for Manchester City after scoring six goals from outside the box in the Premier League and added anotehr in their FA Cup win over Huddersfield.
