2 former Cardiff City players that would fit perfectly into Hudson’s current XI

After an extended run as interim manager, Mark Hudson recently landed the full-time gig as Cardiff City boss until the end of the 2022-23 season.
The ex-Bluebirds defender is getting to grips with full-time management, and going into the break for the FIFA World Cup the club from the Welsh capital were sitting in 19th position, but there is still lots to play for and the gap is not that large to the top six.
Cardiff underwent a major squad overhaul in the summer under Steve Morison, but he wasn’t given the time to see through his plan and was sacked in September.
You can expect a couple of new faces to arrive in the January transfer window, but which ex-Cardiff players would fit perfectly into Hudson’s starting 11? Let’s look at two who could fit the mould.

Wilfried Zaha
Zaha played for the Bluebirds really early in his career and it was a rather unproductive stint as he played 13 times without scoring, but at the time there was major pressure on him as a Manchester United player.
Since then though, the winger has flourished back at Crystal Palace and has become a player who every Premier League club would love to have in their squad.
His best position is on the left-hand side of an attacking trio and cutting inside – right now, Callum O’Dowda is on the left flank but Zaha would quite obviously an upgrade.
Realistic it isn’t, but Zaha would be the perfect player to link up with Callum Robinson up-front and help score the goals and also provide them.
Aaron Ramsey
Youngster Rubin Colwill is the long-term number 10 for Cardiff if he sticks around, but how nice would it be if Ramsey were to occupy that role one more time for a short period?
The Wales international isn’t exactly at his world-beating best anymore as he currently plies his trade for French side Nice, and at the end of this season he will be 32 years of age.
Realistically, Ramsey may want to finish his career at his boyhood club, and when you see Tom Sang was playing in that attacking midfield role against Sheffield United, it shows that Hudson really lacks depth there.
What Cardiff fans would give to see Ramsey score a goal and do the Ayatollah one more time, 14 years after he departed for Arsenal…
