MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers will kick off on January 27 with a new two-round format to determine which four national teams will represent the region at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
What
The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers will be the ninth edition of the tournament, the first with a two-round format, with the winners of the six groups and the two best-second place finishers in Round One advancing to the Final Round, joining the four top-ranked teams in the region.
Who
The 22 national teams that will participate in Round One are:
Group A: Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Group B: Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras, Belize, and US Virgin Islands
Group C: Panama, Cuba, Guyana, and Turks and Caicos Islands
Group D: El Salvador, Guatemala, Curaçao, and Anguilla
Group E: Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Saint Kitts and Nevis
Group F: Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Grenada

The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers will kick off with Round One, from January 27 to February 1, to determine the eight nations that will advance to the Final Round.
The Final Round will take place from March 31 to April 6.

History
This will be the ninth Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers, the first edition that aligns with the new annual FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
In the eight previous editions, the tournament starting in 2008, the United States has been the most decorated team, having six trophies through the years 2008, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024, being back-to-back champions four times.
Canada and Mexico are the other two countries that have achieved this U-17 honor, with the Canucks winning the trophy in 2010, as well as being runner-ups twice in 2012 and 2013.
Mexico lifted their only trophy in 2013, getting the silver medal on five different occasions in 2010, 2016, 2018, 2022 and most recently in 2024.
Champions
Format
For Round One, the 22 participating teams, all ranked fifth and below based on the Concacaf U-17 Women’s Ranking, were split into six groups.
After round-robin play, between January 27 and February 1, the six group winners and the two best second-place finishers will advance to the Final Round, joining the four top-ranked teams, USA, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti (twelve in total).
The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers Final Round will also be played in a group format, consisting of three groups of four teams each, made from the eight teams that advance from Round One and the four top-ranked teams. The teams will play in a round-robin format between March 31 and April 6.
