La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday evening been dealt not one, but two blows on the personnel front.

This of course comes amid the ongoing action in the finale of the Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid are currently locked in action with arch rivals Barcelona, having made the trip to Seville with silverware on the line.

As things stand, Los Blancos are deadlocked at two goals apiece, with a potential penalty shootout looming.

As alluded to above, though, their efforts to secure what would be a sorely-needed Clásico victory have come at a cost, and a potentially heavy one at that.

First, inside the opening 10 minutes this evening, the returning Ferland Mendy limped off with a fresh fitness concern.

And the Frenchman was later followed in departing proceedings prematurely by Vinícius Jr.

Late in the 90 at La Cartuja, wide-man Vinícius pulled up following a heavy challenge involving Jules Koundé, before immediately calling for a substitution.

It now remains to be seen if either player is facing up to any kind of extended spell on the sidelines.
